The season to bring the celebrations to every inch of the house is here. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year because it gives a chance for families to come together and celebrate. This year transform your home with Rustic Christmas decorations. Decorating the house is as exciting as opening the presents on Christmas morning. This year instead of doing a traditional décor, make your decoration more fun and unique with the ideas mentioned below:

Begin with the living room:

There is no Christmas without the most important Christmas time decoration; A Christmas Tree. The living room is a prominent spot to place the tree. Bring out all your collection of Christmas ornaments, the twinkling Christmas lights, the tinsel, the topper, and start hanging it around the tree. You can either use handmade ornaments made up of dough, buttons, or crystal or you can buy the readymade ball ornaments. Colored lights on a tree are a beautiful sight. You need at least 100 lights to cover the whole tree without leaving a bare spot. You can add edible decorations such as cookies, candies, and garlands of popcorn to give it an evergreen look. Don’t forget to finish it off with the Star at the top. If you don’t have a star you can put a snowflake or any other festive decoration. Last but not the least, wrap all your Christmas presents in festive wrapping paper and nestle it beneath the Christmas tree to give it the traditional Christmassy look. Do share the picture of the tree with the hashtag “Christmas Aesthetic” on Instagram. Your friends will love it.

Fireplace:

Instead of just hanging the stockings on the fireplace, there is so much more than you can do to space. Decorate your fireplace with greenery. To give it a special look, buy garlands with different textures, and combine them. Cover the sides of the fireplace with this garland. Start with hanging the stockings with the help of ribbons. To add the splash of color, use different colored ribbons. Play with the garland accessories. You might hang bells, red and white balls, and flutter of snowflakes. Tiny twinkling lights may also be added to give it a glow.  On the fireplace shelf, you can put antique candlesticks. Also, place night lamps by the fireplace, imagine how cozy your living room will feel if your whole fireplace décor is decked out with lights.

Floral arrangements for Christmas:

Through their hues, shapes, and smell, flowers say a lot. They mark the start of every season and don't let any season go empty-handed. Nature comes with a basket full of flowers once again, to adorn Christmas days, perhaps. How to arrange the boon of winter flowers for Christmas day differs from person to person. Some prefer metal pots, while others prefer baskets. Again, some tend to place the larger one on the top in terms of arrangements and gradually descend with the small flowers. For a minimalistic centerpiece, flowers can be a chic decoration. You can bring two different flowers and put them together in it. It will enhance your table’s grace. You can buy flowers that match the theme of your dining table. If you have placed vases around the house. Steal a few branches from your Christmas tree and place them in a vase.

Bring a little sparkle to your interior:

The twinkling Christmas lights will place you in the mood of the holiday! String lights have become an increasingly popular trend. Make the best use out of it to decorate your interiors. Wrap a lace with the fairy lights to give it a firefly look and you can border all your mirrors in the house with it, to give it a delicate look. The light would arch over the mirror to giving it a romantic touch. Take any glass container, such as jars and vases. Fill them with ornaments and lights. This creates a perfect holiday display to place anywhere in your house. Another way to brighten up the inside of your house is to pair an evergreen garland with a string of lights and dangle it down your stairs.

Walls and Windows decoration:

Window and wall decorations are often ignored. A creative and fascinating window decor can give your holiday home a magical feeling and welcome your visitors and neighbors who can see them from the outside. There are numerous Christmas wall decorations that will make your home the envy of the neighborhood.

You can put easy and beautiful “JOY” wall decoration. You can either hang the store-bought or handmade up of cardboard.

If you have an empty wall in your house, turn it into a gallery wall. Add frames with different meaningful quotes on them. Also, you can put up pictures on the wall as they depict real life.

You can attach snowflake stickers on your window which can be seen from the outside.

You can hang ribbon and ball ornaments pairing them with fairy lights on your windows.

Hang the sugarcane candy by the window as a fun object to remind the kids of the Christmas story.

Don’t forget the exteriors:

The interiors will bring joy to your home but the exteriors will catch your neighbors’ attention. You can make your entrance eye-catching by decorating your front door and the plants outside your home. You can hang lanterns filled with firefly lights on your porch. An extremely popular outdoor Christmas decoration called the Christmas light balls can be placed to give your outdoor a unique appearance. You may make a basket bouquet filled with greenery and ornaments and hang it on your entrance, instead of hanging a typical garland. You can wrap multi-colored ribbons around your bushes and plants. Just outside your home, make a comfortable sitting area and place different colored pillows to give your house a welcoming look.

If you aren’t able to execute these ideas, make maximum use of the usual festive items such as throw pillows, and blankets this gives Christmas-y touches to the overall decorating theme. For a one-of-a-kind layer of holiday beauty, put in antique Christmas decorations that remember past Christmases.
