Here's the situation: the holidays are coming. You've only recently moved in, and your place is a shambles. The sitting room is cramped and untidy. Unexpected guests are on their way, not just to congratulate you on your new house, but also to spend the holidays with you.

I know, I'd be terrified too!

I know it’s not a very good first impression on the guests if your home is a mess. Not only that your space is small but, you want to wow your guest with decorations too! Decorations, on the other hand, take up a LOT of room!! Of course, you are aware of this.

The genius that I am, I have jotted down a few ways to decorate your small space with minimal effort and time.

Clear Up Your Mind First:

Let's begin by cleaning up and putting everything in its proper place. It will assist you in clearing your mind. As simple as it sounds, it always works! Whether it’s clothes on the floor, unwashed dishes in the sink, and laptops or wires on the bed, they should all be tucked away.

Downsize Your Tree:

There isn't much room for extra items when you live in a small place. Every inch counts. With the inflow of guests, the small areas feel smaller. No need to bring 9 feet tall taking up maximum space in your living room. The tree is supposed to give a festive vibe and not be overdone. Bring a medium-sized tree that will fit in your living room and deck it out with ornaments, garlands, stockings, tree skirts, wreaths, and other festive touches. Not only will this save you money, but it will also save you a lot of space.

Decorate With Lights!

Lights look always stylish. Take out the fairy lights and hang them on one of the walls to give a classy look to the room. You can hang the lights on the curtains as well. If you don’t have fairy lights, no worries candles will also serve as an excellent lighting option.

Use Your Wall Space:

You'd have enough Christmas ornaments from the previous year stored away in one of the boxes. Hang them on a plain wall to give a touch of personality. Merry Christmas signs, garlands, red bows, tree branches, and, of course, stockings are all alternatives for hanging on the wall.

Let Table Space Do Its Part:

Place tiny Christmas trees, candles, ornaments, and seasonal napkins on your side table. Fill a jar with candy that guests can choose from at any moment as a snack.

Go Outdoors:

One thing you can do to really wow your guests is decorated your door. Do a garland décor, place plants on either side of the door. This way your guest won’t ever doubt your decoration skills.

Enjoy your holidays!
