Don't know what to acquire for your guest room? Spend a night in your guest room. What appears to be an abstract problem becomes very apparent very soon, and you'll notice what's missing or inadequate. Consider some of your favorite evenings spent somewhere other than your homes, such as a charming hotel on the beach or a friend's log house in the woods. Bring back memories of your favorite hotels and stays that made you feel at ease. It's always the little things that make a difference when it comes to creating a warm welcome. Entertaining isn't limited to brunches and dinners; it starts the moment your guests walk through the door. There are a few simple methods to make a guest room feel like a luxury hotel without putting in a lot of effort.

What to Include in a Guest Room:

  • First and foremost. Remove everything from the cabinets and closets. If your guests are staying for more than a few days, they will most likely want to unpack their belongings from their suitcases. Make sure there are at least a dozen empty hangers in the closet and that a couple of dresser drawers are empty.
  • It's safe to expect that your guests will arrive with their smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Make sure that all of the sockets in the room are functional so that they can charge their gadgets if they need to. We can't imagine life without our phones, even while we're on vacation. Print the WIFI information onto card board to prevent guests from asking this awkward question.
  • Facilitate your guest by providing them with necessities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and toothpaste so they don't have to make an extra trip to the drugstore. You are not expected to buy everyone's favorite moisturizer just basic things and they don't cost a fortune.  When choosing things, keep in mind that you should pick something you'd be delighted to use in someone else's home.
  • Every guest has different requirements.  Some people prefer to have separate face and body towels, make sure to provide them with truly absorbent and neat towels. Also, provide extra blankets, some people like to keep themselves warm. Having these extras available ensures comfort, regardless of personal preferences. If you don't have enough space in your closets or cupboards to store these items, roll them up and place them on the bed or the floor.  With a backup or two in the recently cleared closet, you can also accommodate pillow preferences. A comfortable pillow can make and break a night's sleep.
  • Set up a small table or desk with a chair that can also be used as a vanity. When it comes to sleeping, everyone enjoys having things close to them. In the middle of the night, no one likes to go digging through the kitchen cupboards for a cup. Place a few water bottles on the table to save your guest a trip to the kitchen late at night.
  • Last but not least, because the bed is the room's most prominent component, make it as pleasant as possible. Keep your bedding colors neutral. To establish a consistent look, make sure everything matches in terms of style. Don't forget about the basics: keep your bedding clean and fresh! Check to see if your bedding is crisp and free of stains.

Now you have the perfect checklist to make your guests feel comfortable during their stay! Go and be the best host!
