Sandra Bates

I have an extensive background in customer service, communications and small businesses for over 20 years.

Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Tucson, I have been a resident for over 50 years, and have watched Tucson grow from a small into a large urban city. As an Air Force Veteran, I have lived in Japan and visited other areas in Asia. I graduated from NAU in Public Agency Service, with a minor in criminal law; which peaked my interest in volunteering as a Mediator for the Attorney General's office. This helped in my ability to communicate and provided me with the experience in resolving conflicts and providing resolutions. I also volunteered in the Victim Offender Mediation Program and Truancy programs in the Pima and Pinal County elementary schools.

I also have volunteer experience as an AYSO Registrar Board Member. This allowed me the opportunity to interact with families, both adults and children from all ages and understand the needs of each family member. In addition to being an active Board Member, my children participated in soccer for many years and I enjoyed being an Assistant Coach during their earlier years.

I have owned my own Allstate Insurance Agency in the past, and have experience in property, casualty, life, health insurance and financial services. I facilitated my customers in planning for the future, into guiding them to create
