I am the Designated Broker for Cap Core Real Estate and we specialize in adding value to the lives of our clients thru residential and multifamily real estate. Last year was our best year since the company was founded both in transaction count and revenue. But that wasnt always the case Picture 2009, downtown Phoenix, a small cubicle in a 11 story office building at big company. Im analyzing multi-million dollar real estate acquisitions and presenting those findings to the President of Real Estate. At the end of the day I was asked into the bosss office. I had just completed another project and figured I was being congratulated. Instead it was Im sorry Patrick, but we have to let you go. You see, due to the recession I dont really remember the rest. Within 10 minutes, all of my personal items were in a box and I was walking out of the building, along with 100+ now ex-employees, all who didnt see it coming. At that moment, I started to doubt myself. I asked myself what am I going to do? Have you ever been thru a similar situation? I helped that company make millions in profits but it was a drop in the bucket for them. I vowed after that to not put myself in that position again and to only make a recognizable difference for those I work with. Within a few months I was given the opportunity to help two sellers make life changing money and knew I found my calling.
