I was born and raised in NJ and went to college in Pennsylvania. After a few miscellaneous jobs, I moved to Boston where I went to work for Motorola installing and repairing police and fire radios. I had grown tired of the east coast by this point and decided to follow my parents to Colorado. I never thought I would stay in Denver, but I was hired by Public Service Company, and eventually completed a 4-year apprenticeship, becoming the first female lineman for the company. It was an extreme job, with lots of climbing, high voltages and heavy equipment. After 9 years with Public Service, I tested with and accepted a lineman position with the City of Tacoma Washington, but after much thought, I decided to leave the trade. In 2003, I entered a police academy with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Golden, Colorado, and was eventually promoted to detective. My investigative work included persons crimes, domestic violence, elder abuse, child abuse, family crimes and animal abuse. I went to work for a few years for the Colorado Attorney General's Office as a criminal investigator, but returned to the job I loved at Jefferson County where I spent the last 6 years of my career. I retired from law enforcement in August of 2023 after earning my realtor's license in Arizona. My personal life centers around my family, friends and animals. I love to hike, cycle, and play golf (badly). I am a musician, and love to play the guitar and sing. My father taught me as a kid how to work on my own car and do repairs around the house, and I enjoy taking on various home projects. My personal and professional life experience has instilled in me a high ethical fortitude, integrity, perseverance, honesty and critical thinking skills.
