Adriana Guzman Born in Los Angeles, California, raised in Mexico and California. I graduated from California State University with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2011. The economy was upside down in 2011 and jobs were scarce yet I was able to begin my career as a pro bono reporter at a small TV station in Orange County, California. The experience and on-the-job training I received led me to my next career opportunity, which was a position as a news reporter for Estrella TV in 2013. This further developed my skills and knowledge and prepared me for my next adventure: working for Telemundo in 2015 as weather anchor where I won two Emmys as best weather anchor. I'm often asked why I left news to embark on a career in real estate. My interest and passion for real estate began in 2011, when my father was a victim of fraud during a loan modification. My father unknowingly gifted our family home to 15 people. While these 15 names were on the title (and my father's was not), my father was left to pay off the loan. In essence, we were paying for a home that was not ours. It took 5 years for my father to recover the title and even then, it came with an adjustable rate loan. So the battle continued until May of 2018 when we were finally able refinance our home and receive a fair and honest rate. Having lived through this process, I realized how many other families find themselves in a similar situation. Since my dad's English is limited, he was left vulnerable. Similarly, so many families put their life savings toward purchasing their dream home, which quickly becomes a nightmare if they do have someone looking out for their best interest. Through learning the in's and out's of Real Estate, I've been able to help my father not only with our home, but also in his business in construction. Likewise, I approach each potential client with that same compassion. Matched with the skills I developed working in news, I interview each individual client to learn their unique goals for buying or selling a property. I then do whatever I can to translate those dreams into reality. Whether you're buying a home as an investment or your primary residence, I respect and honor that accomplishment as buying and selling real estate is a luxury not everyone has the privilege to enjoy. I will work to protect your rights while accomplishing your goals by keeping the process straightforward, simple, and--above all--enjoyable.
