There was a time when traditional marketing was the only way to get the word out about anything! We used to read newspapers and watch the news to stay informed, but who has time for both now? With the stroke of a button, you may listen to a podcast that will keep you up to date on everything that is going on right now. Gone are the days of calling a friend for daily updates; now, social media stories do the job. People nowadays spend a lot of time on the internet. Don't we all check social media every day for updates?

Social Media For Real Estate:

Facebook alone has 2 billion members, with more on the way. With over 800 million members, Instagram is the second-largest social media site. It is also the most popular. The number of people using social media these days is in the millions.

The rule of marketing says

“Where there is a crowd, there is an opportunity for advertising”.

There's no reason why your business shouldn't be on social media. It's cost-effective, it's faster providing the real-time benefits and more importantly, it's free!

If you were looking for a home in the early 2000s, your experience was almost certainly centered on one person: your agent. The agent was the first person you contacted to start the process because that’s who had the most insight. They offered you an overview of the present market and a sample of what's available on the local multiple listing service. They probably referred you to a mortgage broker and recommended a title company. If you're looking for a property now, though, your connection with the agent will be very different. Rather than going to them first, you'll likely search listings on a variety of real estate websites on your own first.

All of those websites have evolved into full-fledged listings platforms. Lots of quick data allow users to get an estimate of how much their property is worth with a single click. A map of available homes for sale in an area is easily provided by mobile apps. Technology now allows anyone to gain access to a home on the market without the need for a realtor or homeowner to let them in, while virtual tours allow you to view a home from the comfort of your sofa.

Social Media is where Content Rules!! It's critical to create your brand and engage with customers and sellers on the channels they use the most. Real estate websites spend a lot of time generating content that interests their audience in terms of keeping updated listings and making websites user-friendly. For instance, people upload polls and quizzes to learn more about their target audience. Who doesn't like free stuff or a good deal? That's why so many websites host contests where you can win prizes or save big. This makes people follow the page and get a chance to participate. People publish blogs to broaden people's awareness about their business. Your ‘tone of voice,' type of content, and distribution channels are all determined by the target audience.

The most important reason for real estate agents to use social media to promote their business is to build their reputation. It will be much easier to attract new clients if you can represent yourself as an industry expert.
